UEFA have decided that the pen award was correct.
They reckon the ball travelled was ‘not short’ and that his arm was ‘not close’ to his body.

About time Man U got the benefit of the doubt from refs...

Re: PSG v Man Utd
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel said the penalty should not have been given because Dalot's shot was not on target.

Since when was that a criteria for awarding a pen?

On a related note, I hope MU get Tottenham in the next round, and soundly beat them, as I would assume this would piss the Totts off the most.

The point is there's more chat about other clubs than West Ham related business on this site.
I don't give a flying fuck about any club other than West Ham who cares if it was a penalty or not.
I'll tell you this for nothing though if that was West Ham in the same scenario there's no fucking way we would have been given that decision.

You'd think refs would have noticed this by now. Players don't leave their arms and hands in the changing rooms. when they come out to play. They are attached to their bodies.
Accidental handball is bound to happen.
IMO poor decision.

When VAR comes in next year, I'm sure they'd give that in the 94th minute against Man Utd at Old Trafford to potentially lose them a big game. Definitely.

if you turn your back and have your arms outstretched, you can't complain. shouldn't have been such a pussy

I think players should take their head out of their arse first before moving to duck tape.

Biggie Biggs 11:43 Thu Mar 7
Re: PSG v Man Utd
Perhaps defenders need to duck tape their arms to their sides. Never a pen , pathetic decision.

He's jumped up turned his back and his arm is up and out. Defo unnatural position and why the ref gave it.

Re: PSG v Man Utd
Also just seen it for the first time. Pen all day long.

Dont turn your back (really pisses me off when defenders do that anyway) and yes his arm was away from his body, does not have to be stuck out a long way, just enough to make the natural body shape (which includes arms by the way) bigger. Why do defenders these days try and block shots with their arms behind their back? For this very reason that is why.

Pen all day long.
